The Nantucket Boys & Girls Club’s Summer Groove was held August 16, 2008 with a special tribute to past Master of Ceremonies, Tim Russert. Plum TV produced a video to honor Tim.

This year we featured Booker T and MG's.

This premier event was held in the fields of the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club.  In the past 7 years, the event has grown to become a highlight of the summer social calendar by featuring a sparkling evening of fine food, fun music and incredible generosity with over 500 attendees.

Past performers include Jerry Lee Lewis, KC & the Sunshine Band, Temptations and the Beach Boys

The event began at 6:00pm with a cocktail hour including specialty cocktails, passed appetizers, sushi bar, raw bar and much more. A sit down dinner followed.

Chuck Geschke, Board Director, introduced the Tim Russert Spirit of Hope Fund. The fund will keep Tim's spirit alive for the children of the island for years to come. This fund was created by Board Directors, Maureen Hackett and Chuck Geschke.
