Featuring a clinic, luncheon, and nine holes of play. - Welcome Cocktail Party at Sankaty Head Golf Club
An elegant evening with live and silent auctions, interactive golf games, and sweeping views of the Sankaty Lighthouse. - Champions Dinner at Cru
A ticketed celebratory dinner featuring passed appetizers, chef-curated dinner stations with seated tables, and an open bar offering beer, wine, and cocktails.

A full day of golf with comfort stations, access to the driving range, an open clubhouse for breakfast and lunch, and on-course competitions throughout the round. - After Party at Slip 14

The Sam Sylvia Golf Tournament is proudly sold out each year. While all foursomes are currently filled, we welcome sponsorship support, auction donations, and expressions of interest for future tournaments.

A Legacy of Impact and Tradition
The Sam Sylvia Golf Tournament is more than just a day on the course—it’s a tradition that brings together dedicated supporters of the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club for an unforgettable experience at the iconic Sankaty Head Golf Course. With over 90% of participants returning year after year, the tournament fosters camaraderie, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to making a lasting impact on Nantucket’s youth.
Each foursome slot is entrusted to its Team Captain and maintained until the Captain chooses to relinquish it. To preserve the tournament’s continuity and spirit, if a Team Captain or their foursome cannot participate in a given year, they may:
- Transfer their slot for one year to a chosen individual (the chosen individual pays the foursome fee),
- Make a donation equivalent to the value of the foursome to retain their position, or
- Gift the opportunity for one year to another qualified participant (the Team Captain pays the foursome fee).
This thoughtful structure ensures that the Sam Sylvia Golf Tournament remains a meaningful gathering of individuals dedicated to supporting the Club’s mission. More than just a premier golf event, it’s a celebration of philanthropy, tradition, and community—one that continues to change lives, one swing at a time.
